Itinerary Overview
The Adventure begins!
Day 1 — Board Your Flight
Time to board your international flight to Athens! This is an overnight flight which puts you into Greece the following day.
Day 2 — Welcome to Greece!
Upon checking into your hotel, the group will receive a short orientation and then be free to rest or explore. In the evening, celebrate with a welcome dinner in the Plaka.
Day 3 — Athens
Our tour kicks off with a monumental visit to the 2,500-year-old Acropolis and the Acropolis Museum, as well as Mars Hill, a prominent site during the Apostle Paul’s visit to Athens. Enjoy a leisurely lunch at the base of the Acropolis, followed by an afternoon at the National Archaeological Museum to see such treasures as the Mask of Agamemnon. Cap off the day with dinner and the view from the top of Mt. Lycabettus!
Day 4— Day Cruise
Prepare to sail the Aegean Sea for a one-day cruise to the islands of Hydra, Poros and Aegina located in the Saronic Gulf. Disembark on three distinctly different islands, enjoying the local marketplace, food, and highlights of each of these quaint island towns. Have lunch on the ship, and dinner in Athens that evening.
Day 5 — Delphi
After breakfast, we travel to Delphi for a visit to the stunning and serene mountain site that the Greeks considered to be the center of the earth, home to the famous Oracle of Delphi and many other ancient treasures. Our lunch will be at a picturesque ski village, and dinner at a favorite bouzouki restaurant in Athens!
Day 6 — Corinth, Mycenae, & Nafplion
Checking out of our hotel, we leave Athens for a scenic morning drive to ancient biblical Corinth and the famous Corinth Canal. Later, we visit Mycenae, one of the world’s most important archaeological sites, then it’s on to the seaside village of Napflion, a most magical and charming historic city. Enjoy dinner on your own in a beautiful plaza at one of the numerous cafes and restaurants on the cobblestone streets.
Day 7 — Epidaurus & Nemea
After breakfast, we check out of the hotel in Nafplion, and take a short drive to visit the Ancient Theatre of Epidaurus. This UNESCO site is the most famous and best-preserved of all of Greece’s ancient theaters. Then it’s on to Nemea, Greece’s renowned wine region, for lunch and a winery tour, pairing culinary delights with the best local wines. Afterward, relax on the drive back to Athens Airport to board your flight to Santorini for a three-night stay on this stunning island, overlooking the crystal-clear blue waters of the Aegean Sea!
Days 8 & 9 — Santorini
Explore, shop, or relax at your incredible spa hotel. While on the sunset dinner cruise, hike the still-active volcanic center, swim in the warm thermal waters and enjoy dinner on the ship with the world-renowned Santorini sunset as your backdrop! Be sure to visit amazing Oia, appropriately named The World’s Most Beautiful Village!
Days 10 & 11 — Athens & Departure
Say good-bye to Santorini and hello again to Athens! Fly back to Athens in the morning and enjoy the rest of the day exploring a famous Greek flea market or Athens’ Plaka on your own. We will end the day, and our time in Greece, with a rooftop Farewell Dinner overlooking the spectacularly lit night-time Acropolis.
